Stretching Belt?

My new Rikon 5spd lathe has been making noise. I discovered that even the weight of the motor on the belt has the motor touching the bench the lathe is mounted to.

Cheap-arse belt stretched! I've hardly used this thing since buying it in September!

Grrrrr...............

I guess I need to call Rikon and Woodcraft. One of them should be able to give me a new belt. Sigh.

Have had the same trouble with OEM belts myself. Most are made in China.
Google "Gates V-Belts" and find a dealer. Should not be hard to find one in Southern Calif. Have never had a a problem with Gates belts (made on the good old USA:usflag

The Rikon uses a combo belt... 3 Vs, two grooves.

I need to get the specs from Rikon on what dimensions it SHOULD be. Then I can find a better quality one.
