Can't hurt!
I have made a few sierras, they came out fine. The sections that are white could show through on thinner pens. The blues and oranges are pretty opaque.

Exotic Blanks :: Results for strata gem

If the nocturne blue is the same as csusa and it looks like it is then there are parts that are totally translucent. I haven't made other colors yet.
