Its been a strange winter in Texas this year. I seems it cant make up its mind what the season is.

Presently we have a 40% chance of rain, sleet, or snow in Central Texas. Its sleeting at the moment. Tuesday its supposed to be 72 degrees.

Anyone else having a weird winter?

Well Joe, here in Ky it's been very strange. Up until this past week we've seen spring type weather in the mid 50's-60's. Last week it dropped to about 20 degrees with snow and very high wind's. Next week it's going to be back in the 50's. We have only had about 3 total weeks of what i consider cold weather. No winter at all. Before we know it, it'll be 100 with 95% humidity.

Joe,

We've been having a strange winter over here in Killeen also.

It's snowing here at the moment. Gotta love it. 80 last week and snow today with 70s later this week.

I have lived in Central Texas all 45 years of my life and this is pretty normal to me! Cold and snow or ice one day, then warm and sunny the next. The only thing I am seeing that is different is that we have not had nearly as many freezes as we usually have.

I'm with you here in Mullin we normaly have several freezes by this time.

I was surprised that it was 30 degrees here in Austin this morning when I went out to get the newspaper.
Too darn cold in the garage. I wet out there anyway, put some stuff away, and thought about what I ought to do next (from my long list of things to do).

I have heard that Al Gore is!

Michigan used to be referred to as the "Water Winter Wonderland. Had a fairly long spell where the winters were less than "wonderful". Mostly like central Ohio (drab, grey, muddy). Last 5 have been back to where you could enjoy winter sports again (which I personally don't). But this winter has seen some snow, but long stretches of barren, brown grass. Ground has stayed frozen but not much more. Snowed this past Friday and the snowmobiles were ever-present in the fields out back the last couple nights. Early spring? NAH!
