I woke up just before 3am to hear sirens going off and my dog howling. Tornado watch. So wife, dog, and I went down into the basement for a 1/2 hour. It is so slow at work today which is not helping with me fighting to stay awake lol. I might be tired but at least nothing damaged at home etc.

That must have come our way. I woke up at about 4:30 and it sounded like a freight train coming through. It must not have really registered to get up. I fell back to sleep. Thats not a good thing.

I got a call at 2:30 to deliver a computer part to Pittsburgh - right away. It was not fun driving in that storm, lots of water on the road. The sirens made me more than a little nervous.

I watched the storms thru Indiana into Ohio-as I sometimes do with a big storm breakout. I went thru the 1974 April 4th(I think thats the date) tornado outbreak. I guess one of the worst for number of tornados all time.
I remember several hitting Cinncinati, Mason, and Xenia. The storms scared the heck out of me, I don't mind saying. Hamilton area had paper debris, which originated from Louisville. I was impressed to say the least. Where Impressed =scared out of my mind.

Ok telling my age but my parents told me how there were 3 tornados in Columbus the day I was born, 4/3/74, and that is why I am so ornery. Lol

Well, I was 31 that day. We had one go almost directly over head. we could hear the loud roar even from the basement. Storms began in late morning and continued on until well past midnight.
I now live in Oregon-no storms, no poisonous snakes, but you should see the European house spiders!. I'll ignore earthquakes for now. :)
