Storage MT tools

Does anybody have a creative way of storing their drive centers or any Morse Taper items. I am reconfiguring storage and access in my shop. I like to see what I have in an organized area, so visibility is important.

I made a shelf and drilled 7/8" or 1" holes (I don't remember) in it. The takers just slide down in and stop before they are the whole way through the board.

I did about the same thing as ChrisN. I have a plywood bench that my lathe sits on. I drilled holes that were just shy of letting the morse tool slip through. I just set them in the hole while they are not in use.

I did pretty much the same thing. I added a shelf to the end of the bench that sits next to my wife's lathe. A number of holes drilled into it allows the convenient storage of chisels and MT accessories.

The cage on my 1642 flipped over is an amazing accessory holder!

I made a ply shelf and drilled 3/4 dia holes in it, I also made one from sheet metal that I put in 3 holes and mounted it on the tail stock. On the extra holes on the wall mounted one, I fitted short tubes with plugs to take live centre extra bits, screw chucks etc.

This is my "caddy" at the end of my lathe, it's removable in case I make a baseball bat or something.:biggrin:

I saw a storage system like this but made of metal in one of the supplier mags. Just used some items lying around to make it so not that pretty but serves me well. Using the peg board tool holder accessory attached to it is great. I have a few things on the peg board you can see in the background but don't like to put anything directly behind my work for safety.
