I'm not sure just what to call the shape of this stopper. I was going for the look of a balloon but I got to a point stopped because I did not want to take any more wood away. The blank is Bocote and it has some Amazing grain that I want to preserve. Evelyn and I saw the same thing in the first and forth picture. Crazy eyes and a eye in the back of the head. I like the shape of this stopper but I really love the Amazing grain. All C&C are welcome

Thank you very much, Wayne, Bill and Eric for the great comments. Eric I too would admire the woodwork while in church I did sing about it.

Awesome Stopper Dan! I noticed though that you didn't show the contents of the bottle it was used to stop... hmmm... ;>) The only Bocote I've ever turned was very open grained...what did you finish with? I had to seal it a number of times to fill the pores before I finally achieved a similar finish to yours. Again, Nice stopper! Thanks for sharing and safe turning to you!

Thanks Charlie, Kenn, Eric and Chuck for the complements. There's a reason I dont show the content.... I have kids and grandkids. I did have some great training on dealing with them while in the Navy. Taking care of Aircrew mostly Officers and Chiefs and we all know how they can be.
