The other day, someone asked if I could make some large 1.5" x 3" polyester resin blocks in camouflage colors to be turned into birdcalls. Never having made an EPR (Ed's Polyester Resin) block that big, I said sure.

The stopper and blocks pictured below is what popped out today. So I guess it is do-able after all. Now for some really wild colors...stand by for more!

Thanks Jim,

I picked up some 1.50" ID black PVC plumbing pipe at Home Depot and sealed the bottom with duct tape. The stuff gets really hot while curing, takes about 2-3 hours to set up completely, but releases nice and easy...no voids, pits or dents.
