Since both pens were made from Ken Nelson's kits, it is not strange that they look alike. It is a great kit, BTW.

I haven't forgotten about you, I just got a new camera and light tent and as soon as I learn to work both, I will send you some photos. I also need to by some lights for the light tent, what do you recommend?

Well, I'm really not a good photographer... My forte is digital image processing.

But when I do take photos of small things like pens I use this setup from Smith-Victor:

I never really did get good results with the tent. Mostly I just use the lamps and a white or off-white background. All the parts are a package deal and come in one big box.

You can find smaller and bigger all-in-one kits on the Smith-Victor website.

I'm sure some of the real photo buffs here could give you much better advice than I could.
