Hey Guys, ive been turning for about a year and a half now and ive done about everything i can as far as the materials the site i order from has to offer. Since im living in canada a lot of the other site either have way to long shipping times or they cost to much, anyways i was wondering if anyone could sell me some different blanks such as ones u don't see generally to give me something new to do! thanks in advance!

Have you checked out Old Fox? He is in Canada and has a lot of different cast blanks. I have had good luck turning them and he ships quickly. It didn't break the bank to the US so it should not be too bad within Canada.

Hi Chris; Have you ever ordered from www.penblanks.ca?:confused:

They have a great selection of pen hdwe, blanks, both wood and acrylic, as well as shipping the same day if you order before 11:00 am EST/DST.

I never had penblanks ship the same day.. must be due to their two sets of "rules" they have? :rolleyes:

Ordering from Canada would be MORE expensive for him.

Example: 10 slimlines from penblanks $25. shipping $11.75 HST $5.15 = $41.90

Woodnwhimsies: 10 slimlines $16.50 shipping $20.25 NO TAX $36.75 and since it would be sent via USPS, most of the time, you dont pay any duty and if you do, its just the HST..

On larger orders then 10 slimlines, the cost savings per kit would even out the extra few dollars shipping.

I can do you some Aussie blanks if you like. I have a box (cancelled order) from memory there was about 25 blanks, 5 or 6 different Australian species. I was doing the deal for this guy for $75 au.

If your interested I can upload some pics and confirm postage to Canada, I'm guessing it would be the same as to the US.
