Stabilizing Corn cobs

Can someone tell me what the consistency of the plexi solution is when stabilizing the corn cobs. I know that some just use CA while turning but I would prefer to somewhat stabilize them first then touch up with CA.

How long do you keep it under vacuum also. I am in the process of dying the cobs now.

Terry, try to get it about the viscosity of syrup. That should work. Apply vac for 30 minutes, release for 20 (or more) and repeat the process six or seven times and let it set for a day or two. That should get you about where you want.
