A while back, someone posted about the Square card reader that you can get for the iphone. I read up on it and signed up for it as well. It's supposedly in the mail, so hopefully I will get to play with it soon.
In the meantime, I'm curious if others use it...? If so, what are your impressions so far?

From reading the other thread it takes forever to get the reader so that may be why no one is answering your thread. They may not have received it yet.
 
I received notification yesterday that mine reader has been mailed.

Looking forward to trying it out because if it lives up to the hype - it's going to be very nice.

Yeah, it would be nice if someone says "oh, I don't have any cash or a checkbook with me" and I can whip that thing out and say, "no problem!!"
 
Actually, I got home from work today and mine was here! This little thing is pretty cool. I plugged it up, swiped a few cards and it seems to work very well. I didn't actually process any payments, so not sure about the software, but so far, I'm impressed.
 
If anyone is interested, I actually processed a payment on mine today. Had a friend that owed me money, so he helped me test the new reader. It worked as advertised. Even made him sign for his "purchase" using his finger on my iphone. Pretty cool if you ask me!
 
Everytime I check their website to see the status of my sign up in always says 70% complete. Apparently they are really busy.
 
I think mine was at 70% until I actually received the device. I had not yet attached a bank account to my square account, so I've done that and still need to "verify" the account. Now it's at like 90%...
