Sports Castings????

Setting here thinking about special pens for some special people in my life, has anyone ever tried making baseball, football, or basketball castings with the "skin" from old/new balls??? I guess one could "skin" about any type of ball, just wondering if anyone has tried it. I gotta get me some resin!

Good idea. My sons play basketball. I might have to cut up one of the dozen or so balls laying around here.

Check out the scrapbooking aisle in Michael's, I saw some artificial basketball sking there. Probably easier to work with. Maybe others too.
