Some of you know my son is a Petty Officer First Class in the Coast Guard and is currently serving on the Cutter Legere. On the last patrol they made a port stop in San Juan Puerto Rico. While there he and several of his buddies made a visit to the Bacardi distillery. When you take a tour, they give you a coin that can be redeemed at the end of the tour for a tasting. He and three others decide to keep it and they wanted me to make bottle stopper out of it. Several of them bought the special rum that was about $75 a bottle that can only be purchased in San Juan at the distillery. They asked me to make these bottle stoppers for them so they can display the coin in the top of a special bottle of rum. I'd like to thank Edgar for for supplying me with the oak that I used for the top.

Simply awesome!

The materials, the history, the personal involvement is very special. And... I like a 'Dark and Stormy' on occasion!
