I bought a set from woodcraft and didn't notice that it only went to 5/8. The chuck measures 3/4 across so I was wondering if I could buy a 3/4 collet to sit in there?

And you can I would send it back and get one like Beall's. It is easier to get collets for. I have this one also and ended up getting a Beall because it is easy to get collets for. That one is not a bad chuck but doesn't take a E32(?) collet.

That Woodcraft collet chuck uses special sized collets that no one else carries . If you can return it you would do much better buying the Beall or PSI collet chuck which uses standard ER32 collets instead . For just a few dollars more then that woodcraft chuck the PSI collet chuck comes with a set of collets that will get you started without having to buy anything additional until your needs grow .

Thanks guys. Well I noticed I can get the chuck and a single 3/4 collet and that may do me ok for now.
