SPARE MAJESTIC CENTER BAND ASSEMBLY ANYONE??

Three weeks ago, after completing and assembling a Majestic FP in Norfolk Island Pine, I decided I still was not quite happy with the finish on the cap (big lesson there). So I disassembled the cap and repaired the finish to my satisfaction. When I disassembled the cap the inboard decorative rhodium band became separated from the gold band, and I guess got stuck where the black plastic meets the metal. I thought "no big deal. I'll just press it back in". Bad idea. When pressing the center band in the stuck decorative band stayed stuck, and I ended up cracking the blank I had just refinished. @#$%**&^$%#@

Today I disassembled the cap again and tried to free the stuck band. I succeeded in totally mangling it. #@^&*%%#

So if anyone has a spare Majestic center band assembly (Rhodium/22kt gold) I would love to take it off of your hands.

You know, I thought I had stopped making those type of stupid mistakes several hundred pens ago.

PSI will sale you a new band but you have to call, they do not offer them online. It will probably cost about $8 with shipping, at least that is about what I paid for a new Broadwell center band when I did about the same thing.
