This is one of the bigger bowls with probably the best spalting I've seen so far from this tree.

I turned a spalted maple bowl yesterday and was going to show it here... the wood was very dry and the bowl turned out beautifully....
but when I was taking the bottom tenon off I had a slight catch, the bowl flew out of my Cole jaws, whacked me as it went past, and shattered
when it hit the floor... couldn't find all of the pieces, so I have a beautiful piece of smalted firewood. :eek: :mad::mad:
