Spalted curly maple vase

Some of you may remember the curly maple I was offering earlier in the year. Well, I had a couple of large branches that were setting on the ground, and spalted quite nicely. There is not as much curl evident in them (there was alot more when the finish was wet), but they are still very nice looking. Here is my first vase in awhile.
The finish is BLO, and as with the lamp I did, I'm still trying to decide what, if anything, to put on top of it.

BTW, I have a bit of this wood I'd be willing to part with (small amounts in log form for vases, etc...). If you want some, PM me for details.
