Heres that Spalted Buckeye I soaked in Minwax Wood Hardener.
It worked decent but I still needed to use CA as I went along to stabalize more.
Alot of the wood was spongy before I soaked them and even though they hardened up it was still somewhat brittle.
This was a experiment for me but I would get them done for me next time.

I was hopeing for some comments or sugestions of what I could have done diffrent.
Thanks

Mark,

I didn't comment as I don't care for the Wood Hardener process at all.

Another idea, which is certainly not my idea at all, is to drip thin CA on the ends before drilling. After drilling seal one end with wax or something else easy to remove. Drip in some more thin CA in the drilled holes and let in soak in the wood. After drying, re-drill the holes and glue in your tubes. Use thin CA regularly during the turning process.

Hope this helps, or at least stimulates some more comments.
