Sources for braid

Where are you guys finding the braiding? Not blanks with braid, but the raw braid itself? I'd like to try a few...

I found some copper from an electronics supplier I use, but it was tinned...

I use the braided stainless steel toilet supply lines from Home Depot. I used to use stainless oil cooler lines for motorcycles, but HD was substantially less expensive than the motorcycle shop.

The smallest diameter you can find seems to work better. Ice maker and toilet supply lines fit the tubes more snugly than faucet supply lines. The plastics pipe inside the stainless steel sheath slides right out.

I just thought about braided sleeves for wiring... One supplier I've dealt with has all kinds.

Any thoughts?

A lot of it is sold in rolls though. But sure someone else sells it by the foot...
