My son contacted me before Christmas and asked if I could give him his second pen turning lesson while he was home for the holiday. He said he wanted to make a rollerball for a friend who had spent a year in India studying Hindu. He thought Spalted tamarind would be an appropriate choice, so I had some ready when he got home Saurday night. In spite of the busy long weekend, we found some lathe time. I advised, he worked .... Here's the result ...

Thanks Fred!
That pen holder was a gift from a man who goes by many names, Kris Kringle, Santa Claus, Chuck Stone, .... But some may know him as NewLondon88 or simply Charlie!

The Holiday went too fast but it was nice to be able to have that time together! Thanks for the comments, I will pass them on. Hopefully she will like it!
