I sold a revolver recently to a young man. During our email exchanges prior to the transaction, I found out he was actively serving in the Navy (at the time). We did the gun transaction and I gave him a black ti JGII and thanked him for his military service. He loved the pen and later asked for more example photos as he was considering pens as graduation gifts for family/friends and some buddies were interested as well.

After a while, he mentioned he has a table at some of the area gun shows and loves to sell things. I told him I sell pens through consigment and don't like to sell things. As you've guessed, he's been selling my pens at a couple of gun shows. Neither of us is getting rich on the deal but he gets to sell stuff and I get money back for the kits, blanks and some of my time. Guns shows & pen making are just hobbies for both of us so the arrangement works well.

When I decieded to turn as a way of suplimenting our income and paying for my snowmachine hill climbing addiction the first thing I did was turn a free pen for every professional person I know. All but one has brought me customers, in one case enough that it paid for my first dozen kits.
