This is an unkown wood (I think it is Teak). Slimline pen finsihed in CA/BLO and topped with TSW. What do you think. Tried something a little different. The POS camera I have doesnt do this any justice:(

I agree...the pen is nicely turned and nicely finished, but the transition from the upper barrel to the lower is awfully abrupt.

Yea...I realized after I asembled it that I had not turned the upper barrel down as far as I had wanted. Chaulk one up to trial and error.

Pull it apart and use a little sandpaper or be really careful with a sharp razor knife to roll the edge. Depending on your finish you might be able to get away with it and refinish it. Or just pop out the finial and stick it back on the mandrel for a quick touch up.

Already in the works....going to turn it down a touch more to help the transition. BTW, the pic makes the upper tube look bigger than it is, but it is still larger than I had initially planned on.
