something different yesterday

I haven't used my lathe in a couple of weeks.
the weather was just too nice to be holed up in the garage.
yesterday i got the itch to tool some leather.

this is how far i got yesterday. it took me awhile to cutout the pattern and decide what to tool on the leather.

so this is work in progress. hope to finish these this week.

Can anyone figure out what this picture is?

Fuzzydog and alamocdc hit the nail on the head. these are in fact straps for spurs.
Yes Draken, the pattern is oak leaves and acorns.

I will post a finished picture this week with them attached to the spurs.
