I had someone reach out and ask me if I knew how much they could sell this pen for. Honestly, I have no clue, so I'll post what he sent me. Maybe you can help me out—thanks!

I spoke to you earlier about a fountain pen my Mom found in storage and wanted to sell. See was trying to determine the value and hopefully sell the pen. Here are the pictures you requested. The box says Scheaffers's. The pen says Waterman. The nib says Waterman Ideal (14k). It's missing the cap. There seems to be tape wrapped around part of it. We appreciate your help.

Just an FYI
Schaeffer and Waterman are two distinct companies and were fierce competitors. I do not think the box goes with the pen.
I saw a similar Waterman pen on Ebay that was in much better shape with an asking price $130 (down from $149). Ebay Listing for reference only

Thank you!

Looks to be in pretty bad condition, though the cosmetic issues can often be corrected with some TLC. Lever fillers like this invariably have a latex ink sac that needs to be replaced. I'm not super familiar with Waterman lever fillers, but the Esterbrooks and Sheaffers I've done were pretty straightforward and the replacement sacs are not expensive.

I'd say in this condition it might be worth $75 or so. The guy buying it would restore it and flip it for closer to $200. That's my somewhat educated guess as someone who has collected vintage pens for a while, not some kind of authoritative valuation.

I have a similar pen. No cap either. Nib marked Eclipse Iridium Point I think. Hard to read. It was a couple bucks and I bought it because I like the blank. Nib looks to be about the size of a number 5.
