Cherry burl with blue and white alumilite swirls! Used the last of my blanks. These will be the last slimlines I do for a while!

P.s. Just ordered my first Statesman kit, can't wait to show you guys!

Very nice job on the pens! The cherry Burl and blue goes well together.
You were very uniform in your shaping of the blanks and the finish appears well done.

I would suggest you turn the blanks closer to/or to the size of the pen components especially at the center band and the clip/finial.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks! My SO said the same thing! I, personally, like the way it looks and the illusion of it being "pinched" in the center haha. You are right though, that's not how it should be done. Customers loved them, so that's always a plus!

Beautiful blanks and you did them proud. I will second Charlie's suggestion, but as you mentioned, that is a personal preference, as well as customers.

Nice job.

Rule #1- The customer is always right.
Rule #2- If the customer is wrong, refer to Rule #1.
Those are nice pens- love the contrast in wood and alumilite.

Rule #3 - sometimes you gotta fire the customer (and I have done that before, since there was no way to ever satisfy them).

Good pens - nice contrast - great eye candy.

Actually, I love the look of those pens !! .... not the usual straight or bulged slimlines.

And you do a great job of making your blanks ... very attractive !
