Casting Smooth-on mold release for epoxy?

Does anyone have any experience using Smooth-on Universal Mold Release? I'm wondering if it will work with liquid diamonds or other epoxy resins, and not just Alumilite. Its a bit cheaper per ounce than Stoner Thermoset. I'd like to save myself some money, but not if the product quality will suffer. Thanks in advance for any insights.

For casting acrylic (insects, feathers, etc), I used to use Dawn dish-washing liquid. Wipe on a thin layer and let it dry completely. Works on all sorts of mold materials.

I love it, but I am using all Smooth-on products. It should work with any polyurethane or epoxy. Not sure about polyester, I haven't used any polyester resins since the 90s.
