If nothing else, I used the instructions for the CSUSA Apprentice Jr Gent when I was learning how to make Smitty's JG1's. Use the 10mm bit for the long tube and the 12mm bit for the short tube.

You can also use a 15/32 and 25/64 drill bit that are used on the Baron and Sedona kits from AS. I used them on the Chrome Gent 1 kits from Smitty and they worked fine. The instructions are on his site someplace. If not pm me and I send you PDF copy of mine.

Check out Smitty's website. There is information there on the drill bits needed and check out the other thread referenced above for the bushing sizes. You can always put a micrometer on your kit parts to ensure accuracy also.

Hope that helps.

JR GENT 1 KITS

HI, I CAN MAIL YOU INSTRUCTIONS (JUST ASK AND EMAIL ME YOUR MAILING ADDRESS) OR THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY KITS CAN BE DOWN LOADED FROM WWW.PENKITS.COM.CN BUT YOU MUST REGISTER AT THE SITE. THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM CSUSA FOR THE APPRENTICE JR GENTLEMAN KIT WILL WORK.

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO SETS OF INSTRUCTIONS ARE THE RIZHENG CALL FOR 12MM (SHORT TUBE) AND 10MM (LONG TUBE) DRILL BITS AND THE CSUSA INSTRUCTIONS CALL FOR 15/32 AND 25/64 FOR THE SHORT AND LONG TUBES RESPECTIVELY. THE BUSHINGS ARE LISTED AS A COUPLE OF THOUSANDS LARGER ON THE CSUSA.

I USED THE AMERICAN DRILL BITS ON MY KITS AND THEY WORKED FINE SO I SUSPECT THAT EITHER IS OK. I USED RIZHENG BUSHINGS LIKE I SELL BUT HAVE HAD PEOPLE TELL ME THEY USED CSUSA BUSHINGS WITH NO PROBLEMS.
