Smell solutions????

I am very interested in casting my own blanks and was wondering if there is any way around the smell of the resin curing? My garage is frequented often by family members and I know from experience that it is a very strong odor. Also, is pressure pots a must for casting?

alumilite is ALMost odor free, both when casting and turning, and can be done with out pressure

I second; Alumilite. You can cast it without pressure but you must be careful not to introduce bubbles while pouring mixing AND cast just resin. IF you plan on adding anything to the Alumilite then you will need pressure.

I do my casting outside. But then, I also live in So. Ca.

ElMostro what do you mean by "adding something" does that include colouring?

Yes I believe so. Any time you add something you have to stir which can increase the number of bubbles. Or I could be wrong, lol.
