Site help?

Tried to post this via the site help forum, but got a 'you don't have permission' response.

It's a PITA to have to unsubscribe from threads that I have been subscribed to because I posted a response. Is it possible to configure my access to the site such that responding to a post does not AUTOMATICALLY subscribe me to the thread?

Yes, you can set this in your profile. Look here:

Settings and Options: Edit Options: Messaging and Notifications: Default Thread Subscription Mode

The default setting for that at time of registration is off. Not sure how it got set for you unless you turned it on.
