Since it is getting cooler and CA does not dry very quick, I have a question. Does a plexi finish dry faster in the cooler weather and are there any issues with plexi and cold? I have never used a plexi but the CA is driving me crazy since it won't dry.

Any help would be appreciated.

CA will dry in any weather conditions if you put it down over a small amount of accelerant wiped onto the blank. Use a pump applicator, spritz a bit of accelerant onto a paper towel, wipe the blank, immediately apply CA and it is cured instantly.

Thanks for the info. I have never used the accelerant. Should I be using thin, medium or thick? Or does it matter?

I use 3 coats of thin, and then 3 coats of medium. I sand with 600 grit after the 3 coats of thin.

It's below freezing in my garage right now. The plexi works just fine. CA stays tacky seemingly forever without an accelerator.

I used accelerator for all CA types, so this isn't much of an issue for me.

One tip I do have, however, is that you can use a small cup of warm water to place your CA bottle in. Even my thin CA is getting thick in the cooler weather, so gently waming the bottle first will get it to flow better again.
