I finally developed a CA process that works for me, that is the good news. On the last pen I decided to use a fine Sharpie marker to sign my initials to the cap. The CA glue dissolved the sharpie and mucked up the cap. I tried several more times allowing more drying time for the marker, but no better. Any Ideas for getting my initials into my work????

You can use a fine tip roller ball on the bare wood and then drip some ca onto your initials to seal them, then go about finishing like normal being careful not to sand through the ca that sealed your initials. hope this helps.

Any water color marker will work with CA or lacquer. I started with my kids Crayola fine tip school markers but now use Staedtler Fineliners. Good luck!

I have used the brass initials on my slimline clips. They are also available to go into the caps of the larger pens. They just CA in place on the clips, but they mount under the cap on the larger pens. Kind of expensive though. If you get the 120 pc kit plus the special caps, it runs about $3.33/unit.
