I am fairly new to wood turning and I have just begun to start turning pens. I never knew that there were so many different pens out there. Is there anywhere a person can go and find out what all the different pens look like when finished? Right now I am looking for something called Elegant Beauty in the Sierra series. Can anyone help with this?:confused::confused:

pen chart

Woodcraft has some pics with different woods and other blanks. Called Pen Designer I think. But I do not think they have sierra kits.

The Elegant Sierra is one of my favorite kits to do and my best seller. I happen to buy most of mine from Bear Tooth Woods but there are other vendors.
If you want to see pictures of finished ones take a look through my photo album, just click on the link below my signature.

Woodcraft carries a 'Sierra' style pen under the name Wall St. II

The "Elegant Beauty" and the "Elegant sierra" are two different pen types, from Berea.

You should find pictures of either one on any site that sells Berea pen "kits".

Just a word of warning - like many kits, they may not all be the same.

There is a sierra elegant, a sierra elegant beauty, and a non-sierra elegant beauty (fineal twist) ... And even the ones that LOOK the same may be made by a different manufacturer.

I think the "sierra" line is the most confusing out there right now.
