Have a Grizzly Lid for my dust collector. Like using the shop vac for stuff I don't want going into dust collector. I use bags for the shop vac and they tear every time you remove them and what a mess!
Went to the local car wash and traded for a barrel. None of theirs have removable lids. Was fun cutting the lid off after flushing the container. Used my Powermatic 4224 to turn the groove, damn Jet mini lived up to it's name... LOL Duct Tape? You bet! It's holding the gasket in place... Alaskan's always have their duct tape, safety wire, leatherman and wd-40...
What I now have is a great separator that doesn't "scour" the barrel empty and basically nothing gets through to the bag filter!
Fittings are available at the usual places and are standard for shop vac.
