Got my wood stove installed today. I was shocked at the price of stove pipe but I got a killer deal on the stove. It's rated output is 40,000 BTUs so it should keep me toasty. It is a Free Flow manufactured in Vermont in the 70s and in like new condition.

You could have had a V-8 !

Oh wait .. looks like you got one.

Good to have feeling in your fingers while playing with sharp tools..

I'm jealous.... my shop is "naturally" heated and cooled so during the winter its about 10 degrees colder than outside and during the summer its about 10 degrees hotter than outside... and year round it smells like diesel fuel and oil.

 I might need to build a movable bench with wheels on my lathe so i can just wheel it outside when the weather is nice.

Nice, where will you find kindle wood?

Hahahah, if he's using only the off-cuts from the pen blanks to keep that thing going, he isn't going to have any time to turn, why...??? he's going to spend all his time feeding the "furnace" with so small bits of timber...!

Nice heater, I've seen one of those before...!!!

Just a friendly piece of advice to you mate, if you don't have a good fire extinguisher, get one and put it where you can safely reach it, if required. The cost of a extinguisher is a well worth investment to have handy when handling these type of heaters in a work-shop environment better safe then sorry...!

Cheers
George
