I need to ship a few pen in near future and I'm kinda worried the pens cracking due to the cold weather.
Do I need to worry about pens cracking due to the cold?
If so, is there anything that can help prevent damage when shipping this time of year?

Thanks

I wouldn't be too worried myself, unless you're dealing with a notoriously fragile material. The mail trucks are somewhat heated, the warehouses are all protection from cold, just insulate the package well to keep the transitioning temperatures from happening too fast. That's my 2 cents, someone else hay have more experience here.

I have had my pens sitting in my car over night in the cold ready for shows, then at the shows. Then when it warms up, they sit in the heat and sometimes sun. I have shipped many pens just before Christmas and had no cracking. I did have a few crack at shows where the heat made the pens almost to hot to touch. The only 2 I had crack where HRB.

Fountain pen ink will freeze , expand , and break the cartridge . The facilities at the recipients end are probably the most concern - a PO Box in a building , or an outdoor site where the recipient picks up mail at his leisure - maybe a day or two later .
