My latest Shawshank pen - #29 - Antique Gold Jr George fountain kit from Turners Warehouse and the oak of course from Dan Dees.

Very cool! You even got a piece with some wave in the grain. Sometimes the historic ones have such boring straight grain. The owner knows the story, but they don't catch anybody's eye otherwise. Great movie, too! If you ever get to Mansfield, OH, check out the Ohio State Reformatory, where a lot of it was filmed. I have a long time friend that works there and is very involved in it's restoration. We got a nice personalized tour a few years ago.

That's a good looking Pen not sure of the history but the wood looks good.

Have you seen Shawshank redemption? It's from the large oak tree at the end of the film that Morgan Freeman finds the chocolate tin under

Oh and I totally agree about the grain. The Shawshank oak is always stunning
