Okay, so I have searched for the solution to my dilemma. I've pretty much blown my budget for new hobbies for the year and I have a kid being born in the next month..so you know where that leaves Daddy's fun money. Literally in the toilet. Haha.

Wondering what I can get to sharpen my chisels 'on the cheap' so to speak.

Jet and Tormek are way our of budget.

Any suggestions are great.

Thanks!:D

PSI has a sharpening jig similar to the Wolverine set they used to sell. Check the guys at Woodturningz for an even better price.

That was going to be my suggestion too. I think Harbor Freight carries a SMALL motorized, wet sharpening stone - I have one from Sears that I used for about a year and a half. Got it for $25 or $30. I now have a JoolTool and like it MUCH better, but if you're on a budget the little motorized stone will suffice.

Here's an example of something similar to the motorized sharpener I used:
