Does it ever feel like most of the time... all you are doing is sharpening your tools? This was a 'sharpening day.'

You were busy. I have several tools that would have benefitted from your skills.
I don't know about skills... to me, there is not much skill, just willing to take time to do it. In truth, I have found I actually save time in the work project, by actually taking time out to sharpen a tool. It's just bothersome to have to stop working on a project to do it.

Ecclesiastes 10:10 "If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength, but wisdom is profitable to direct." So, it's smart to sharpen the axe.

Agree 100%.

As a machinist I can be pretty annul about things. Sharpening used to almost paralyze me because I thought I needed a 'perfect' edge, according to things I read. I was reading a book either by Richard Raffin, or had an article in it by him, anyway, he said he used to spend more time sharpening than turning. He die died to keep an inexpensive grinder close by and just touch as needed. That was all I needed. Been using the same cheap 6" bench grinder for over 20 years now. Works good for me, at least. Of course I don't turn like some of you guys either😜
