Segmented pieces

I was looking at some videos on making segmented pen blanks and recalled seeing these from days gone by. Dimensions are given along with the types of wood in the sections. Hope this is useful. For some reason, the link is not available! Go to Mudhole's website and type in checkerboard for a search.

I would like to buy some of those segmented disks.

Is the price for one disk only ? . One disk for $4.95 seems expensive.

You guys can make them !!! They are constructed of 30 degree cut pieces from a flat board , then glued together , and sliced to the required thickness. Can be made with different woods and even glue veneer between. You don't need that diameter for making pens. What price is reasonable for a ring ?

At $4.95 each, if that is what they are, I will indeed make. . But if they are $1 each I will buy.
