We have an older but very accurate, two digit display weather station in the house. I just looked at the weather station a few minutes ago and the temp read 07 and the rH display read 99.

At seven degrees and 99 percent relative humidity, it could SNOW:).

Seriously, 107 and 99 percent humidity is the hottest I've seen it here in sometime. AND, today is supposed to be the "cool" day this week!

Nice, I can't wait to hear from my son tonight he is at FT Stewart. He hates the heat. He practically grew up in an ice rink. I'm sure he is not a happy camper.

We are supposed to be at 100 every day this week, The only good thing is (and this is unusual) the humidity is only 41% which makes it a comfortable 107. but it won't hold long, Lord I miss New Mexico!!!!

113 in N Texas...100+ for 32 days straight. We had 19 consecutive days of 100+ thne a cool day of 99 and then the 32 day run started. Humidity about 15%...no rain to speak of since Nov of last year.
do a good turn daily!
Don

It is even hotter in Hinesville. The temp was 109 earlier today, but the humidity was less than 90 percent.

Even though the humidity is down, all that Camo green and asphalt around Stewart and Hunter AFB make it perpetually one on the hottest places on earth!

I really feel for Don and all the good people of Texas. They REALLY need rain.

Everybody hang in there and use good judgement if you must be outdoors.

I thought I had it bad yesterday in SD at 107 with 40% humidity. We are not used to that at all. Today it is only 90 with 30% humidity. Think I'll go for a walk...or go down to the shop in the basement where it is 68 degrees. Its the room next to the furnace/ac.

107 yesterday, last 9 days of June and 27 days in July over 100, 109 today, I don't care that the humidity is 40-45% it's damned hot, last measurable rain was ......I can't remember

The only real difference that humidity makes at these temps whether you bake or boil! Either way, you are still cooked!

I have been building a stage prop in the back yard here in Central Texas. My cordless tools are shutting down because the batteries are getting too hot. Back to extension cords and equipment with power cords. The glue is setting up before I can screws in the joints. Good thing I finished that last one today. Darned hot out there 105 this afternoon.

on the good side, you should be able to cook up a pot of 'Q without wasting any charcoal.....

I will NOT complain here about the sunburn I got this past weekend at a craft show!
I can't imagine what some of you are going through!

Maybe you'all should come visit Maine!

On top of the heat, we've been without water since 8 last night, seems the city is experiencing one major break after another caused by shifting soil again heat and lack of rain related. Had enough of a trickle of water to at least wash.

No pics, didn't hapen? This was taken around 6pm local time today. Temp sensor is installed on the North side of the house. On the soffit so it's in the shade but probably some radiant heat added from the concrete drive. Regardless, 117* F for the day's high is too hot! 95* in the garage seems comfortable by comparison but still too hot to do any shop work.

You people are nutz! Completely around the bend! Please be safe and find a way to cool down! You really are in killer weather...............I do not want to hear guff about -40 this winter.

It was only 98 here yesterday... I had a UPS delivery of a new saw for the shop show up Monday night.. I let it set until yesterday and took it to the shop... by noon it was 105 in the shop... I don't mind the heat so much, but that was too hot even for me... like being in an oven. Even with the fans blowing on me, it seemed difficult to breathe. I stayed just long enough to take the packing slip out and find the manual so I could read it.... in the cool of the living room.

112 here in Lawton, OK today. The forecast says it should cool down by next Tuesday to 106. Last rain we had was the first week of May. Almost everyone is in a mandatory water restriction. Several lakes in the area are just gone, completely dried up. They have one lake here that feeds three towns. They finally shut the water off to two of the towns so they would have enough for the third.

Don

Almost enough for me to want to ride the Hotter than Hell rather than go to SWAT.

I did the HHH a few years ago and it was hot, but to do it now would probably kill me. It is just Stupid hot now. Of course on race day there will be that good 'ole blast furnace Texas wind to make it extra special.

I rode it last year and we are doing it again this year. I feel a knee sprain or maybe a hangnail coming on.
