So can anyone point me in the direction to look or help me search differently?

Thanks :):D

Well seriously, check these links, they may be of some help for you:

Dawn,
You may have some luck searching on "calligraphy pens".

I have a tutorial on how to make them (which you don't seem to need) and you may find some size information in it. You can find it at http://www.RedRiverPens.com/articles

Both Anthony Turchetta and Lou Metcalf have dip pens on their websites which may offer you some inspiration.

Good luck!

Do a good turn daily!

thanks for the replies.
Don, I had forgotten about your tutorial. It is a great reference.

I was hoping to be able to use one of Lou's SF nibs in a dip pen but they won't fit.:(
Unless someone has a trick they care to share on how to do that. :D:D

Make the hole in the end of the pen large enough for one of Lou's small nibs and secure it in place with a short dowel/plug instead of the brass tube and nib insert. I used wooden dowel/plugs before finding the nib inserts to hold the nibs.
