Anyone have a problem with penn state seam ripper kits ? The instructions call for 8mm hole in the blank. But the tube fits too tight & when you put ca on the tube sometimes the tube locks up before I can get it all the way in the blank. Any advice would be appreciated. : Joe

I always print a copy of the instructions and often I find the optimum drill bit ISN'T THE ONE LISTED ON THE INSTRUCTIONS. I put calipers on the brass tube and drill the next smaller bit. Check the brass tube fit before moving the blank, and re-drill if necessary. I then write down the drill bit size.

I have two of these kits pending for a cousin. She does sewing and I got one for her, but haven't put it together yet.

Drill it slightly larger.
