I've yet to use one yet but in the videos I've watched I've never seen anyone seal a screwed together HDPE mold before pouring resin. Is the stuff flexible enough that it just makes a good seal when it's forced together or am I missing something?
Wow, good to know. I'm surprised I haven't seen it used more in youtube vids. I've got a 15 yr old Craftsman 10" table with a 7 1/4" blade for plastic. Haven't used it yet but I wonder if my saw is good enough to make a cut like that. Blade seems to line up well with a precision square.
What's the best way to set a screw insert into HDPE? I've read that SA bonds to it but I'd rather use an adhesive that's less brittle.
I wonder if just screwing a heated insert into a tapped hole would work. You could use an IR gun and run some tests to find the best temp.
