Thanks Dannie, I just checked my saw and it has a different model number from the units recalled, but my guard does not cover all the way. I'll call them tomorrow to see whats up. Thanks for the heads up.

I bought my saw at a yard sale and it needed a new table, so I was looking for plans for one on line when I found the recall. They sent a new table' all the brackets' guards and leavers to convert it. And It was all free under the recall. Some how the first box got lost and when I called them back they sent it out FED-X over night. One thing Save ALL of your bolts you will need to re-use them, or buy new ones.

Got the new blade guard and a new table came with it. The box was 46" long.

Anybody else get theres yet.

I turn mine in a couple years ago. Sears sent back the blade guards, with easy to follow instructions. The also sent a complete table top at no charge.

I felt like I had a new saw when it was over.

I had a Radial saw by Craftsman about seven years ago. They didnot recal them but sent new safety guards along with new table top. All was done on-line. Needed the model number.

I've bought a few at yard sales and on Craigs List. You can see that they need the
guard and are probably on the recall list.

They send out a kit, no charge .. no questions. If they can't retrofit the saw, they'll
send you $100 for the motor.

It's the Emerson saws that were recalled, I don't think Sears gets involved.

My buddy had sent in a dozen motors for the $100 he always telling to look out for real cheap ones.I'm not a fan of radial arm saws as they are dangerous, and really only needed by a production cabinet shop in my opinion for dados.Just my two cents,Victor

bought my saw about 40yrs ago.filled out form about 5days ago and received new guard and new table top today Thanks for the info. I really needed a new one because a borke the tip off of mine years ago.
