Hey guys,

I am looking for some cocobolo burl with sapwood. The more eyes, swirl, color variation, the better. Make me some offers via PM.

Thanks,

Charles

Did you find any? I have exactly 1 blank that has sap and heart on it. And I have probably 4 or 5 blanks.

I have turned pens and shopped for "nice" wood for two decades now.

A few months ago, I saw my "first ever" cocobolo burl. Certainly, it is possible it was there before, but I'd say you are looking for a very "rare" material.

I've been looking for the past few years and have only found one piece (short) with burl and sap. It is my everyday use aero. If memory serves me well, I got it from IndyPenDance (one of Nolan's blanks).

Hi,

I made well over 15 pens with cocobolo burl and I know how rare is it! :)

I am looking for sappy cocobolo burl as I have quite a few heart wood cocobolo burl blanks, very similar to what you were selling Ed.

I made 4 pens with sappy cocobolo burl and in my experience they sell quickly enough that I don't even have time to look at the pens. ;)

Here is a few pics of of two I made:

The solution to that problem is to raise the price at which you sell them.

I did the same thing with an albino cobra skin I sold for a couple hundred bucks, then found out I could not replace it.

If I ever find another one, the price will be significantly higher!!

Hi Charles, Let me take a look at what else I may have in cocobolo burl. You cleaned me out of most of what I had. I thought I saw a piece when sorting out some blanks the other day. I've got a show Friday, but will look on Sunday my day off.

I believe I have some that is a little more brown than the reddish color I sold you.
