Santa is always in need of helpers, so I decided to round up a few to send him. Hopefully they will have good work ethics and provide him with some productive work.

Fake fur from Hobby LobbyThose are cute. Take off the hat and it looks like a friend of mine. One guy told him he looked like a garden gnome.
What did you use for the hair?
The head and hat are all one piece and the nose is made from some old wooden car lights for toys that I had lying around, but can be made using a piece of dowel. I will post some pictures later today.Great!!! Wife has the 40% discount app on her phone. BTW, wife says they are cute!
How did you turn the head and hat? Nose? Very interested for our woodturning club party next year.
Here is Santa's Helper before he is finished and the fur that I use. Hope you enjoy making them as much I do.bmac, thanks for the reply and your help on this cute idea. Already planning on turning some for our woodturning club party next year...which is just around the corner.
They are not hollow. The beard goes about 1/2 way around.Thanks. Are they hollowed from the bottom then turned to shape? Seems like it. Edit- Does the fur go around the whole turning?
Be my guess and make all you want, although not my original idea. That's such a fantastic idea I ve got to borrow it! With permission please?
I have a friend of similar waistline and beard so that's a must .
Thanks
