Sandpaper caddy

I was tired of the cardboard box so my son and I buit this yesterday from some scrap baltic birch. It holds a hack saw blade for cutting the sandpaper and has a cleat in the bottom that goes between the rails of my lathe. enjoy

Great job. The only thing i see missing is a little plastic tray to hold the wet mm. I am going to have to put one of these together soon.

And here it is! My Dad has the big power tools, so he helped me put this together.

I'm thinking of painting it, because when I'm wet-sanding I might be splashing water on it when I reach for the next piece of sandpaper.

Note the easier way of securing the hacksaw blade. I just wedged in a strip of 3/32 plywood.

nice spin off! instead of paint try a spray on water based clear coat from your local home store. quick and easy.
