Salvaged wood from USS Ranger

Looking for some wood to make my grandfather a pen from. He served on the USS Ranger and I would love to make him a kitless fountain pen from the same ship he served on.

If anyone has any source to find material from this iconic aircraft carrier please let me know! He's got a set of mitutoyo calipers he said he'd give me, but I told him I'd make him something for them. So I want to do something special.
