The first is a mahogany salad bowl set. Thank SWMBO for the decoration of the table. She gets a little wild for each season.

The spalted sycamore was intended to look like a rustic jug. I remember seeing similar ones in the sugar houses in VT. The sycamore was a (rimes with beech) to turn, it wanted to separate along the growth lines. It had some very large cracks in it which I filled with black epoxy.

Thanks, I cannot take full credit for the spalting, the heart wood side of the jug is not spalted. The lines there are black epoxy. I filled in the big cracks with epoxy, and the smaller ones with ca. I used almost a whole bottle of ca on that one.

SWMBO decorates the table for each season / holiday. She just went out and picked up the pumpkins, but made the quilt last year.
