I just finished watching Russ Fairfield CA finish video. After he puts on the last coat of BLO, I cant tell what he does. Can anyone shed some light on this. Thank you

As near as I can tell, he speeds up the lathe while wiping with a paper towel. Some time ago I summarized his method in a post, since I couldn't remember it by the time I got to the lathe.

I don't follow this exactly, like everyone else, you get your own twist on things when you do it. I do speed up at the end, but I am still using the BLO at the time. it seems to work. I apply the first two coats at about 800 rpm. then put on the thirid coat, apply the BLO and immediately go to about 1500. ( I have a Jet 1442VS). Good luck
